Project Overview 

Valley Primary School in Bromley was experiencing significant roof-related issues, including persistent leaks, Mold growth, and poor thermal performance. These conditions posed a risk to both the structural integrity of the building and the comfort of its occupants. A full replacement of the existing pitched clay tile roof was commissioned to resolve these concerns and enhance the school’s overall energy efficiency and resilience.

Scope of Works Completed 

  • Careful removal of existing clay tiles, underlay, and battening 
  • Installation of modern, breathable membrane system 
  • New treated timber battens fitted to current standards 
  • Installation of high-performance insulation to improve thermal retention 
  • Laying of new high-quality clay tiles, maintaining aesthetic continuity with the existing structure and age of building. 
  • Detailed waterproofing around chimneys, valleys, and junctions to prevent future leaks
