Leading with Clarity - Delivering with Confidence

At RPT Consultants, we take full responsibility for overseeing the delivery of the works, so you don’t have to. From the first design meeting to the final sign-off, we act as the principal point of contact, keeping all parties aligned, informed, and accountable.

What We Do

  1. Contractor Appointment
We help you to formally appoint the contractor, in addition to populating the issuing the JCT Contract for signing.

  2. Pre-Start Coordination
Once the contractor is appointed (via tender or framework), we take the lead in arranging a pre-start meeting and ensuring CDM Compliance is complied with, and initial surveys are undertaken such as R&D Surveys.

If Design and Build Contract, we also undertake detailed reviews of the contractor’s design proposals and undertake clarifications of the specification.

  3. Onsite Coordination
Chairing regular site progress meetings and overseeing all aspects of work and quality control.  We ensure the contractor delivers in line with the brief and to the specification.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement
We liaise directly with headteachers, school business managers, governors, and trust leadership teams to keep communication clear and decisions timely. We also coordinate with ICT leads, SEN coordinators, and other internal teams as needed.

  5. Third Party Interface
We handle dialogue with external bodies including:
    • Planning authorities
    • Building control
    • CDM Principal Designer
    • Utilities providers
    • Fire safety and safeguarding consultants

  6. Problem Solving & Decision Making
With our experience in live education settings, we anticipate issues before they arise and resolve them quickly when they do. Whether it’s an unforeseen site condition, a late design change, or a contractor query, we take ownership and keep the project moving.
